Product Manager Pharma (80% - 100%)

Your mission
  • Your focus will be the introduction of new products into the pharmaceutical excipient market. This includes the process of introducing those products, in close collaboration with sales, business development and R&D, innovation, and production. 
  • Ensure regular knowledge transfer between R&D and sales on your portfolio and manage legal, regulatory, and toxicological data, functionality, literature, and patent research with relevant functions (e.g., QA and regulatory affairs).
  • Provide on-going business decision support in organic growth and investment within current and future product portfolio.
  • Manage the whole product life cycle of those products, including target group analysis, competitor analysis, trend analysis, pricing policies (e.g., value-based pricing), product marketing and sales support.
  • Periodical portfolio evaluation, check plan-actual comparison, and take corrective actions if necessary to assure sustainable and profitable growth of the portfolio. 
  • Provide technical input and assist in creating marketing documentation such as posters, brochures, flyers, presentation, and trade fair material; conduct training sessions and deliver technical presentations at trade fairs and events. 
  • Assure in day-to-day operations that introduced products have adequate technical complaint handling within the departments and participate in quality-related product topics for continuous improvement (incl. CAPAs, change management, audits, and customer questionnaires).
  • Support new customer acquisitions including lead generation in Pharma, Veterinary and Diagnostics 
  • Attend seminars, conventions and trade fairs including booth supervision, if requested
  • Accompany sales managers on business trips and provide technical support. 
Your profile
  • Degree from University of Applied Science (FH) or University/ETH qualified in a natural science discipline (Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry etc.) with prior knowledge working in the pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Experience in marketing or another customer-related activity, ideally in the field of surfactants for pharmaceutical and biotechnological excipients as well as diagnostic applications.
  • Excellent people skills with a confident demeanor.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a passion marketing related topics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strategic relationships and lead cross functional internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Self-organized with high team competences to achieve optimal results for our customers in cooperation with other internal departments.
  • Connected thinking, able to grasp complex information and communicate in a concise manner.
  • Fluency in English and German, other languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel in Europe (case-by-case)
